Asiwaju Basorun Lauds AMA’s Legislative Performance As Lawmaker Gets Justice Forum Igbogbo/Baiyeku’s Re -Election Endorsement

Asiwaju Olorunfunmi Basorun, GAC chieftain, Omo’ba Hameed Aroyewun, Chairman, Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA, and Hon. Gbenga Oshin, former member, Lagos State House of Assembly raising Hon. Ar Moshdod Abiodun’s hands in endorsement of his second term return to the House as the representative of Ikorodu Constituency II, during the lawmaker’s declaratory visit to Justice Forum in Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA.

It was another round of acceptance of the representative capacity of Hon. Aro Moshood Abiodun (AMA), the representative of Ikorodu Constituency II in the Lagos State House of Assembly in the last three years as the Justice Forum (JF) in Igbogbo/Baiyeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA), unanimously threw its weight behind the re -election of the lawmaker for the second term.

AMA who has been going round to meet with critical stakeholders in the constituency for the past days, to declare his re – election aspiration visited the Justice Forum led by the highly revered elder statesman and political leader, Asiwaju Olorunfunmi Basorun, to give account of his stewardship and request for renewal of his mandate.

At the parley held at Asiwaju Basorun’s house in Igbogbo on Friday, were chieftains and members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in their hundreds.

Again, what was planned to be a declaration for the popular lawmaker turned out to be another endorsement by a prominent group and power bloc within the APC.

Hon. Gbenga Oshin, a former member of the Lagos State House of Assembly, and Vice Chairman, JF Lagos State, moved the motion for the endorsement of Hon. Aro as the APC candidate in the next General Elections.

Omo’ba Hamed Aroyewun, Chairman, Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA, Builder Sesan Daini, former Chairman and Hon. Taiwo Orenuga, APC Chairman, Igbogbo/Baiyeku LGA joining leaders of Oluwo Group of The Mandate Movement (TMM) in endorsing AMA for second term.

The former lawmaker said that he moved the motion in recognition of AMA’a proven track records of service, integrity and commitment to the welfare of people during his first term.

“Hon. Abiodun Aro has demonstrated consistent dedication to our shared goals and has earned the trust of the people through tangible results.

‎”A unanimous endorsement affirms our collective support and sends a clear signal of stability and continuity as we advance our mandate.

“I call on us to second this motion for his achievements while in office for the first term.”

‎He listed some projects that were facilitated by the lawmaker to deserve the endorsement.

‎” These are some of the projects he facilitated while in office: building of primary and secondary school buildings within the constituency, empowering the women through loan, development and enhancement of the youths, and ensuring that the contractor is brought back to work on Bola Ahmed Tinubu Way.”

The motion was supported by Hon. Bosun Agoro, a former Council Leader, Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA and currently a Supervisor, Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA.

In his remarks, Asiwaju Basorun said AMA has impressed the group, party and the generality of people in Ikorodu Constituency II.

When stating that he was surprised that the lawmaker did not read out his achievements to the congregation, the political leader, however, brought out an 18 -page compendium of achievements of AMA as a lawmaker.

Asiwaju Basorun said that he printed the list of legislative and representative achievements in the last three years, which were printed online.

The political chieftain acknowledged the role played by AMA in the return of the contractor to Bola Ahmed Tinubu Road and other interventions.

He appealed to the gathering to rally round the lawmaker and return him to the house.

Omo’ba Hammed Aroyewun, the Executive Chairman, Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA, also said that Ikorodu Constituency II is proud of the representation of AMA and he deserved to be returned.

He lauded his impacts in the areas of lawmaking, education, infrastructure, youth development and general community development.

Speaking earlier, Hon. Aro appreciated the leadership of JF and members for their support for him in the last three years.

Also speaking, Builder Sesan Daini, former Chairman, Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA, and Hon. Wasiu Agoro, former Chairman, Imota LCDA, also spoke very well about the lawmaker.

AMA who said that he had within his power delivered on the mandate given to him three years ago, added that he is seeking support of the group to get re -elected during the APC primary election to get the party’s ticket to recontest the General Elections and return to the House to improve on his representation.

Other chieftains of the JF at the AMA’s declaration were Hon. Taiwo Orenuga, APC Chairman, Igbogbo/Baiyeku LGA, Alhaji Olawale Abdullahi (Bobomi), Chairman, JF, Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA, Alhaji Shakiru Odusanya, APC/JF chieftain, and Alhaji Ola4, APC/JF chieftain, and many others.

AMA had visited Olowu’s House, another group of The Mandate Movement (TMM) of the APC, earlier where he was also endorsed.

At the palace of Olubeshe, His Royal Majesty, Oba Richard Ogunsanya, the royal father lauded AMA whom he said that he did not know until he was brought to him about four years ago as a candidate.

Oba Ogunsanya, said the was impressed by the performances of AMA and nobody should contest against him for re -election.
